Predicting Subjective Vitality Based on Motivational Dimensions and Achievement Goal in Medical Students of Qom Branch Islamic Azad University

Introduction: Medical students, as future physicians, have an important role in the country's health system; Therefore, it is necessary to address the subjective vitality, motivational dimensions and achievement goal in them. The present study was conducted with the aim of predicting subjective vitality based on motivational dimensions and achievement goal in medical students of Qom Branch Islamic Azad University
Methods: The present study was conducted by descriptive-correlation method. The statistical population included all medical students of the Faculty of Basic Sciences of Islamic Azad University, Qom Branch in the academic year 2020-2021. Samples were selected by simple random sampling by lottery method and 256 tons were selected using Morgan table. The instruments used were demographic questionnaire, "Subjective Vitality Scale", "Motivational Dimensions Questionnaire", "Achievement Goal Questionnaire". Previous research was sufficient for the validity of the instruments. Reliability was calculated by internal consistency method by calculating the Alpha-Cronbach coefficient for the mentioned instruments. Data were analyzed in SPSS. 25. 
Results: Subjective vitality was predictable in medical students based on the components of motivational dimensions and achievement goal. Motivational dimensions are predicted to be 0.34 in total and the goal is to achieve 22% of the variance of students' subjective vitality (P<0.05).
Conclusions: Mental vitality can be predicted based on the components of motivational dimensions and achievement goal in medical students. Therefore, it is suggested that the results of the present study be used to increase the motivational dimensions of medical students' development goal to increase their mental vitality.
