Introduction: Human capital is considered the most important asset of organizations and a factor in gaining sustainable competitive advantage, and artificial intelligence has affected all aspects of human life, including human resource functions in organizations. The present study aimed to develop of an electronic human resource management model based on Artificial intelligence in medical sciences universities using the Grounded Theory method.
Methods: The present qualitative research was conducted using the grounded theory method. The statistical population included academic experts and specialists in the fields of human resource management, artificial intelligence, and senior managers of the Iran universities of medical sciences. The sample size was 15 people using the theoretical saturation principle, who were selected using the purposeful sampling method using the snowball method. Data collection was done with semi-structured interviews. The data analysis was performed using the open, axial, and selective coding methods with the help of MAXQDA software. To assess the validity of the findings, 4 criteria of validity, generalizability, reliability, and confirmability were used, and to assess the reliability of the interviews, the test-retest method was used.
Results: The proposed model was identified in the form of 6 selected codes under the headings of causal conditions, context, phenomenon, intervening conditions, strategies, and consequences, with 13 core codes and 29 open codes.
Conclusions: The final model indicates that causal conditions include 2 core codes, context 2 core codes, phenomenon 1 core code, intervening conditions 2 core codes, strategies 4 core codes, and consequences 2 core codes. It is suggested that the results of the presented model be used in taking advantage of opportunities and dealing with threats of artificial intelligence in the organization's human resource management.
