Translation and Psychometrics of “Job Experience Questionnaire” in Sports Organizations

Introduction: Job experiences are one of the characteristics and various capabilities of human resources of organizations that have a great impact on the overall performance of the organization and the achievement of organizational goals. The purpose of this study is to translate and psychometrics the "Job Experience Questionnaire" in sports organizations.
Methods: The method of the present study is methodology. The statistical population of the study consisted of employees and managers of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. 380 people entered the study in a non-random and convenience method. The research instruments are demographic questionnaire and "Work Experience Questionnaires". First, the original version of the "Job Experience Questionnaire" was translated into Persian. The final version translated from Persian to English was reviewed, corrected and summarized. Face validity was performed by 30 teachers of sports management in Islamic Azad University, South Tehran Branch, Islamic Azad University, Shiraz Branch and Islamic Azad University, Isfahan Branch, as well as managers of public handball, basketball and volleyball federations. The construct validity was performed by 384 employees and managers of the Ministry of Sports and Youth through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Reliability was measured by two methods of internal consistency by calculating the Cronbach's coefficient and combined reliability with the above sample. Data were analyzed using SPSS. 24 and LISREL. 8.5.
Results: The face validity of all items of the final version of the questionnaire had an effect of more than 1.5 in the opinion of experts and was confirmed. The results of construct validity by exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis showed the existence of 10 components. The results showed that the factor loads for each 10 factors were greater than 0.40, which explains 73.953% of the total variance, which indicates the predictive power of the model. The results of Cronbach's alpha coefficients and composite reliability were more than 0.80 and 0.96, respectively.
Conclusions: "Job Experience Questionnaire" has validity and reliability in Iranian society. It is suggested that researchers in the field of human resources as well as physical education use this questionnaire as a valid and reliable instrument.
