Correlation of socio-cultural factors with moral commitment in the citizens of Abhar city

Introduction: Moral commitment is one of the most political factors of social order and health in societies and many factors are effective in observing it. The aim of the present study was to determine the correlation of socio-cultural factors with moral commitment in citizens of Abhar.
Methods: The research method is descriptive-correlation. The statistical population included all citizens over 18 years of age in Abhar city. The Cochran's formula was used to estimate the number of samples, and 411 people were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. Data collection was performed using the “Socio-Cultural Moral Commitment Factors Questionnaire” and the “Moral Commitment Scale”. The Qualitative content validity and reliability were measured by Cronbach's alpha method. Data analysis was used with SPSS. 22.
Results: Socio-cultural factors (feelings of insecurity, feelings of injustice and feelings of inequality, social trust) have been correlated with the variables of moral commitment. The variable of moral commitment is explained as 0.032 by the feeling of inequality and 0.04 by the variable of social trust and 0.09 by the variable of feeling insecure and 0.07 by the variable of injustice.
Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between the variables of feelings of insecurity, feelings of injustice, feelings of inequality, and social trust and moral commitment. Therefore, it is suggested to strengthen the moral commitment in the society in order to reduce the feeling of insecurity, injustice and strengthen the social trust of the citizens.
